@jjg capitalism is depressing. I’m ready for the fully automated post-scarcity utopia.

@JasonTiffany me too.

I’ve thought about how to get from here to there for most of my life, and so far I don’t have a great answer, but I started playing with an idea for a way to at least start doing something:

I’m not sure when/how to actually *do* this, but if nothing else I might use it as a basis for a fictional story 🤣

@JasonTiffany something else I’ve found inspiration from is a book called “The Good Life Lab”, which is more of a journal than an instruction manual but another useful case study of folks trying to get out of “the beast”

@jjg This would be pretty cool. I am torn between anarchy and benevolent AI overlords. Lol.
Capitalists will breed empathy out of us if we don’t push back. American narcissism is a deliberate construct of capitalist marketing and consumer misery. Fuck all that. Lol 🏴🏴‍☠️🏴

@JasonTiffany I believe benevolent AI is possible, it just comes down to why it’s being created.

Almost all AI today is built from parts designed in the last century, but it wasn’t until there was a capitalistic justification that they were given the resources to grow. Since they were bred for capitalism, that’s what they do, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

That said my position on AI (and robots in general) is don’t let them do work people like to do 😁
