@JohnnyPistolWhip FB is like going to a bar that sucks full of people you hate because you can’t get the handful or people you actually like to meet somewhere cool 😎.

I’ve thought about this problem for probably a decade and have come to the conclusion that those few people don’t really like hanging out online but are essentially forced into it, which is why it’s hard to get them to try something else w/o force 🤣

I have met some cool people on emerging systems, but that’s short-lived.

My ability to make things has diminished over the last few years. I’m not sure if it’s a problem with my creativity, or my concentration/endurance or something else, but I just don’t seem to be able to make as much stuff as I used to.

I’m not sure what caused this but it’s a bummer and I’d like to reverse it. Seems like now most of my enthusiasm comes first thing in the morning and evaporates by the time I get out of bed 🤣

Internet Frustration

Man, sometimes I wish I could just turn off my brain and enjoy life for a bit 🤣

Pretty sure I need to buy these and cram something cool into them…

…although maybe I should do something with The Neuromatic 2000 first…

@JasonTiffany I’ve always wanted more arms (tentacles specifically, but arms are close enough).

@JasonTiffany NPC is probably a good place to start. I assume your playing over Skype or something?

@JasonTiffany maybe I can join a game sometime, would be cool to see those dudes again too!

@JasonTiffany that’s a funny coincidence (one of the games I’ve been experimenting with is a generative planet exploration thing).

@jjg This would be pretty cool. I am torn between anarchy and benevolent AI overlords. Lol.
Capitalists will breed empathy out of us if we don’t push back. American narcissism is a deliberate construct of capitalist marketing and consumer misery. Fuck all that. Lol 🏴🏴‍☠️🏴

@JasonTiffany I believe benevolent AI is possible, it just comes down to why it’s being created.

Almost all AI today is built from parts designed in the last century, but it wasn’t until there was a capitalistic justification that they were given the resources to grow. Since they were bred for capitalism, that’s what they do, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

That said my position on AI (and robots in general) is don’t let them do work people like to do 😁

@JasonTiffany something else I’ve found inspiration from is a book called “The Good Life Lab”, which is more of a journal than an instruction manual but another useful case study of folks trying to get out of “the beast”

I need to fix the collar on the suit to bring it into proper perspective with the horizon but like the character idea.

@JasonTiffany Spain has been a fascinating case study in anarchism and alternatives to capitalism. Lots of lessons to learn from there.

@JasonTiffany me too.

I’ve thought about how to get from here to there for most of my life, and so far I don’t have a great answer, but I started playing with an idea for a way to at least start doing something:

I’m not sure when/how to actually *do* this, but if nothing else I might use it as a basis for a fictional story 🤣

@JasonTiffany finally got a chance to listen to this today and I’m really digging it. I wasn’t sure how I would like it compared to your other stuff but it’s really cool and doesn’t feel as alien to your other work as I expected it to 😁
